Quarterly Report

November 13, 2009

I was down in Durham, NC this past weekend invited back to Duke to speak at an Arts Conference for current students.  Whats happening in documentary studies and photography in Durham is truly amazing but what was more remarkable was getting called out by college students.  Several of them asked why I never post on my blog – they reminded me that its not a semi annual activity. Its a lame excuse but I have truly been way too busy.  Since my last post, I have been out west on jobs a half dozen times.  I have shot former President Bill Clinton, Andy Roddick, Nate Robinson, the best in hockey and a few other random athletes thrown in there.

My favorite shoot of the year took place a few months back with the National Hockey League.  The yearly gathering of the 20 or so best in the game is one of the highlights of the fall.  The hockey guys couldnt be nicer and my client is even better telling me to “just do what you do.”  My nieces are big Ovechkin fans so I have posted a frame of  Ovi-wan Kenobi.  I have also included one of my favorite group shots of the year.

Alexander Ovechkin

I promise Ill post again before the holidays.  Its way too much pressure with all of my Dukies calling me out.
